Caccia is an experienced project coordinator and manager, with a strong background in administration. She worked for the Rauawaawa Kaumātua Trust in Hamilton for over nine years where her mahi included supporting and managing health initiatives for schools with a focus on engaging ākonga in mātaraunga Māori (Māori knowledge, values and aspirations). It was during this time that she gained her project management PRINCE2 certification.
Caccia is passionate about education having completed a year of study at the University of Canterbury towards a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary). Proud of her Māori heritage, Caccia is committed to the revitalisation of te reo Māori and making work and education choices that advance Māori achievement for whānau, hapū and iwi.
I am excited to be part of the CORE whānau and to work an innovative space with a group of forward-thinking colleagues. When I’m not at work, I usually spent my time being the number one supporter of my husband who is a kura kaupapa teacher and jazz musician. I also enjoy road trips, visiting family, games nights and karaoke.
