Sarah started with CORE Education in August 2016. She is an eTeacher with the ACCELL team.
Prior to joining CORE, Sarah taught for over 20 years all around New Zealand. She has taught primary and secondary students across all levels, and Academic English to Tertiary students.
After many years of TESOL in the Primary setting, Sarah completed her CELTA qualification and added this knowledge to her teaching expertise. In conjunction with her paid work, Sarah has also taught ESOL voluntarily to refugee and migrant learners.
For many years Sarah has also continued to develop her interest in using information technology to empower student learning both inside and outside the classroom environment. As an eTeacher, Sarah teaches groups of English Language Learners online using a range of tools including Skype, Adobe Connect, Google docs, ELGG, Moodle, and VoiceThread.

I live in Upper Hutt with my husband Marcus, and our two gorgeous boys. I am very lucky to have the flexibility of working from home while my children are still young.
I enjoy long walks beside the river with my dog and nature photography. I am a mindfulness in schools facilitator, and try to bring this skill to all aspects of my life.
I am a firm believer in lifelong education, and model this by constantly upskilling myself in many different areas both academic and recreational. I empower those around me to do the same.
