About the Company

CORE is a forward‐thinking, values‐driven organisation. We are proud of the culture we have created in our workplace, and the atmosphere that staff and visitors experience in our organisation.

At the heart of CORE’s values and practice is Tātai Aho Rau and our commitment to our bicultural identity. Underpinning all practices are culturally responsible behaviours and attitudes including a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, through our Te Aho Tapu framework, and working in partnership. Our mission is to push the boundaries of educational possibility.

About the Role

We are seeking to replace our current Project Co-ordinator and this is an exciting opportunity to extend your current administrative and executive assistant skills to coordinating projects across this Group, which leads our product and service development arm of the business.

You’ll be responsible for supporting our Design Solutions Champion by being a proactive organiser who steps in and gets the job done - from diary and travel planning, through to minute taking at meetings. You’ll have a positive outlook and will enjoy working in a changing environment, always finding ways to do things better.
You will elevate our efforts to coordinate our shared work programme, projects, and activities across the teams that make up the Game Plans and Solutions Group. Your inclusive communications and collaborative approach is essential, as you’ll be the connector between senior leadership and Game Plans and Solutions leaders, their teams, and the wider CORE Whānau.

Some key areas of responsibilities, experience and qualifications will include:

  • Supporting leaders/managers with administration, communications, and coordination across the Group
  • Confidence to be the point of contact for various working groups
  • Sound written and verbal communications skills - and Te Reo Māori or a Pasifika language gets our two thumbs up
  • An attention to detail with experience developing and implementing new or enhanced processes
  • Experience providing administrative and / or executive support to a senior leader
  • A tertiary qualification in business, marketing/communications, or a related field
  • Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, working in partnership and Te Aho Tapu
  • Commitment to modelling principles of Tātai Aho Rau and CORE’s values - manaakitanga, whānaungatanga, wairuatanga and kaitiakitanga
  • The ability to work in a culturally responsive manner is a requirement. Knowledge of te reo Māori is desirable. The successful applicant will work within the company’s framework – Tātai Aho Rau.
