Digital badges are evidence-based certification of learning that, like paper-based certificates, provide a record of your achievements. However, digital badges offer so much more. Digital badges can link to ePortfolios and appraisals showcasing ongoing professional learning, be displayed over multiple online profiles and social media, and can have evidence of learning and artefacts of learning attached.
CORE has created four different levels of badges for uLearn18, including badges for delegates and presenters. We’ve introduced a new feature allowing you to think a little more critically about the badge you are claiming, and challenge your thinking about the evidence you have that would qualify you to claim a badge at the appropriate level.
Badges are claimed and stored in CORE’s digital ‘backpack’ with the data, or evidence, attached to the badge.
Add notes to the badge such as a reflection, tweets or your ePortfolio. To do this, once the badge has been awarded:
