The CORE Travel Scholarship enabled Hannah Bedford from Otago Boys High School to attend the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) National Conference in Boston, USA in April 2015.
The CORE Travel Scholarship grant allowed the Halswell School Leadership Team to conduct action research, visiting established modern learning environments in preparation for the rebuild of their school, which was badly damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes.
Wayne attended the 29th Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning, USA, where he spoke on "Participant’s Understandings of Empathy Within SMC (Synchronistic Multimedia Conferencing).
Chris attended the International Conference on Economic, Environmental and Social Sustainability at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and presented on the subject, "Social Media as an Educational Tool for Developing Youth Citizenship in a Post Disaster Context".
Neill attended the 15th International Conference on Thinking held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, June 20-24 2011. He presented at this conference on "The opportunity to lift thinking and improve learning".
