CORE Education is delighted to announce the purchase of LEARNZ—free comprehensive virtual field programmes, as an addition to its extensive range of services to the education sector.

“We are excited to bring LEARNZ into the CORE suite of services”, says CORE CEO Ali Hughes, “LEARNZ delivers fantastic student and teacher experiences that adds a new dimension to our e-learning portfolio” she says.

LEARNZ will continue to deliver its superior, curriculum rich, e-learning opportunities to interact with inaccessible people and places, but now with the advantages of a company deeply embedded in wider aspects of the New Zealand education landscape.

With a staff of over 100, spread across New Zealand, CORE delivers a huge range of professional support and development opportunities to educators, especially in new technologies. With a fantastic reputation in thought leadership and research, CORE has the ability to support LEARNZ to develop an even greater range of professional development resources and introduce many more New Zealand educators into the fantastic world of virtual technologies.

CORE has preferred provider status with the Ministry of Education and nearly 10 years experience in delivering professional development, research and educational thought leadership to the education sector, so the future is exciting!

“CORE’s philosophy, mission and values fit so well with LEARNZ that the decision to join with CORE was simple and we believe the transition will be seamless” says LEARNZ Project Director Peter Sommerville  “I believe that CORE and LEARNZ together will be an unbeatable alliance that will push the boundaries of educational possibility and change the way learning occurs” he says.
