Workshop 3: Powerful tools 4 challenging times/Hooking learners with ditigal tools

Work with Kevin to imbed innovative teaching practices which engage with digital learners. Investigate how “Powerful tools 4 challenging times” can be integrated into your classroom. We will explore the amazing and abundant free and affordable tools that we can use to offset costs, maximise effect and drive improvement in your classroom.

Today's tools, websites, apps and online communities offer a host of possibilities for educators. We will explore some of the options offered by these resources as well as some of the mindsets that teachers may use to see these tools for what they can really be. While exploring and learning together we'll share ideas as a community and grow our comfort levels with regard to implementing and integrating today's powerful resources.

During this session we explore what happens when educators step outside their boxes and try new tools. It reinforces the importance of relationships while encouraging teachers to become learners again through positive examples of student success. I’ll share the notion of self-directed staff development and delve into what it takes to build your own “personal learning network”.
