Extending Collaborative Teacher Practice in the Middle and Senior Primary School

Making it happen - Middle-Senior Primary: We will identify aspects of successful Modern Learning Practice (MLP) in a junior school and learn some effective ways of promoting choice, voice and agency with middle and senior primary aged students. It is about prototyping and building on best practice.
Please note this is the second workshop in a series of two. It is not a requirement to do both.

Learning outcomes

  • understand the possibilities and benefits of self regulated and authentic learning in the junior classroom
  • identify practical ways to support learners to meet expectations in effective and authentic ways
  • have strategies that can be taken back to the classroom and implemented immediately
  • have strategies to support others in the move into collaborative teams.
