Mō CORE

Ko te umanga nei o CORE ka whakatinana i ōna whakaaro anamata me ōna uara hoki. E whakamānawa ana mātou ki te āhua o te ahurea mahi me te wairua ka rangona e ngā kaimahi me ngā manuhiri. Ko Tātai Aho Rau kei te pūtake o ā mātou mahi me ō mātou uara i CORE tae atu ki tō mātou ngākau titikaha ki tō mātou tuakiri kanorua. Mō tēnei tūranga

  • Te whakahaere i ngā kirimana ā-waho tae ana ki ngā Whakaratonga Whakangungu Ngaio ā-Rohe, me te whakatairanga i ngā rauemi, me ngā ratonga a CORE. 

  • Te whakaatu i te herenga ki te Tiriti o Waitangi mā te whakatinana i ngā uara o CORE me Te Aho Tapu hei tirohanga puta noa i ngā mahi katoa a CORE.

  • He matatau ki te kōrero me te tuhi i te reo Māori me te reo Ingarihi.  

  • He wheako whakatūturu i ngā kaupapa katoa rānei, i ētahi o ngā kaupapa rānei e whai ake nei:

    • Te waihanga i ngā marau ā-kura

    • Te Hangarau Matihiko rānei, he kaha rānei i tētahi atu wāhanga ako o te marautanga, neke atu rānei  

    • Te whakawhanake āheitanga  ahurea tae ana ki ngā akoranga e aro ana ki te Tiriti o Waitangi

    • Ngā whakaakoranga whaihua e pā ana ki te whakaako i te reo Māori me te whakaako mā te reo Māori anō hoki.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our Te Aho Māori Ngaiotanga team.

Some key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Scoping and facilitating kaupapa Māori related professional learning across Māori medium, English medium and other non-education sector learning communities.

  • Facilitating learning onsite, remotely and asynchronously.

  • Delivering external contracts including Regionally Allocated PLD as well as CORE products and services.

  • Demonstrating commitment to Te Tiriti of Waitangi by applying CORE values and Te Aho Tapu as a lens across all aspects of mahi for CORE

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in facilitating professional learning to adult learners

  • Delivering effective learning programmes through curriculum frameworks including TMoA, Te Aho Matua and/or NZC.

  • Agile, proactive with the ability to work flexibly when required juggling multiple deadlines.

  • Good level of competence in oral and written Māori as well as English.

  • Proven experience in all/some of the following:

    • Marau ā-kura / Local curriculum design

    • Hangarau Matihiko or strength at least one other curriculum learning area

    • Building cultural capability including Tiriti o Waitangi focused learning

    • Effective pedagogies in teaching of and through te reo Māori
