About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional person to join our Senior Leadership Team – Te Kahui Hautū. Led by Tumu Whakarae, Dr Hana O’Regan, this team works to determine CORE’s overall direction and strategy.

As our Tumu, Te Aho Waihanga|Senior Leader of Design Solutions you will provide strategic leadership to the multiple teams that make up Te Aho Waihanga. This large business group is dedicated to the research, design, development and delivery of CORE’s high quality content services. This covers learning materials, digital media, print and online resources. You will ensure CORE’s research strategy is robust and contributes to delivering on our equity vision through products, and that evidence and insights inform the product development process.   

This role is critical to CORE and we are seeking someone with leadership experience and business savvy. To be successful, you will be a strategic innovator with education sector credibility, and a strong understanding of the education sector, equity issues, and the political, cultural and social landscapes in Aotearoa. You naturally work in a Tiriti-honouring way and have experience in building and leading diverse and highly effective teams. 

This role is based in our modern Ōtautahi office overlooking the Avon river. For the right candidate we may consider other locations.
