uLearn21 presenter terms and conditions


Please read the terms and conditions on this page carefully, application is subject to these terms and conditions and CORE Education’s standard terms and conditions for online services. Applications and registrations for this event are deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions and to CORE’s standard terms and conditions for online services.

Speaker terms and conditions

CORE will evaluate the speakers abstracts as they are sent through and will notify the speakers if CORE requires any further information. Speakers will be notified on 11 June if their application has been successful.

The speakers agree that they are available over both days of uLearn to present, and if accepted will be willing to commit to the date/time given for their session. The presenter agrees to uphold the integrity of the event at all times.

The speaker will provide their own internet connection and laptop or computer on which to present from. CORE is not responsible for providing these.


As part of this agreement, both parties’ staff may obtain or have access to confidential information concerning the other party. Under no circumstances will any use be made of this information except for the purposes directly related to this agreement.

Photography and videography

CORE reserves the right to record the Speaker's presentation and make it available on the Conference portal for all registered attendees. CORE also reserves the right to use photo and video footage for promotional purposes. The full presentation will not be made available outside the conference portal except with permission from the Speaker.

The Speaker may share their content on other online platforms but must always reference and tag CORE Education and uLearn.


CORE Education retains the copyright to all CORE events, seminar presentations, workshops and online programmes. The recording or transmitting of any content which includes audio, video, and photographs by a member of the audience is not permitted. uLearn21 content will be made accessible to delegates for up to 90 days after the event. Access to this content is restricted to registered participants only and payment must be processed in full, prior to the event starting date. This content is not permitted to be shared with others. In the event of a member of the audience wishing to use any content, permission must first be gained from eventadmin@core-ed.ac.nz

Presenter discount

Up to three delegates presenting any given breakout are eligible to receive the presenter discount. The discount may be applied retrospectively if the delegate has already registered before being accepted to present. No discount offer may be combined with any other offer or discount.

Abstract withdrawal

Speakers are able to withdraw their abstract up until 8 June when CORE representatives will start converting abstracts into a timetable.

Should the speaker choose to withdraw after this date, CORE will make every effort to replace the speaker. All withdrawals must be made in writing to eventadmin@core-ed.ac.nz. If registration has been completed, the event Ts&Cs apply for any refunds.

Accuracy of supplied data

When registering for a CORE event, you must ensure that all information you provide is correct and up-to-date. If you change your details, you agree to ensure your details are updated.

Data we hold about you

You directly provide CORE with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback via email or event application.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

CORE collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.) suitable for the purposes of a purchase or registration.
  • Your IP address via Cookies.
  • Photos (if supplied).

CORE collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order and manage your account.
  • Provide access to the online platform which uLearn is held.
  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.
  • Improve our performance.

If you agree via the ‘opt in’ option , CORE will share your data with our partner companies so that they may offer you their products and services.

When CORE processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

CORE securely stores your data for our Event Management, Online Store, Learning Management, Survey, Micro Credential, Email systems and in Files stored securely in our File Storage System.

CORE will keep your data for an appropriate period based on the reason for which it has been collected. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data or anonymize it, depending on the record type (Financial records are not able to be deleted for 7 years) .

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you and also request to have any data deleted and/or made anonymous (Financial records are not able to be deleted for 7 years) if you so wish.


All advice, decisions, opinions, recommendations, proposals, presentations, seminars and reports, whether written or oral, are made in good faith by CORE Education Ltd on the basis of value judgments influenced by current commercial and organisational conditions. These may be affected by unforeseen events and factors outside CORE’s control and, as such, we reserve the right to amend or cancel planned or previously agreed arrangements. CORE takes no responsibility for the opinions, statements or advice given by presenters, sponsors or exhibitors associated with the event. CORE shall not be liable in any event to delegates, exhibitors, or any other person or third party for any direct or consequential loss or damage sustained arising out of or in connection with this event.
