Creating classroom environments to support wellbeing and engagement


As classroom teachers and educators we are increasingly aware of the impact of emotions on learning. Teaching Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approaches can have positive impact on decreasing emotional distress, improving coping skills, and academic achievement.

Learning outcomes

Participants will:

  • gain an overview of the 5 key competencies of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) 
  • have an understanding of how physical design and access impacts emotional wellbeing
  • explore strategies and suggestions to implement Social Emotional Learning in a range of learning contexts 

*A 20% discount applies for groups of 5+ people and 15% for groups of 3-4 people from the same school or centre.


Online Workshop

This 1.5 hour online workshop can be accessed from anywhere in Aotearoa. Registered participants will receive the link to the webinar one week before the event.
