What we do

Equity for all learners

We celebrate diversity and strive for a vision of an equitable and thriving Aotearoa where all learners can experience success. We work in three key spaces - professional learning services (Specialising in cultural capability and te reo Māori, wellbeing and leadership), content and resource development and research and evaluation services.

Through all our work we honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi through the design and delivery of learning products and services that support our vision.

We've refreshed our brand

From April 2023, we will be known by our Māori name first – Tātai Aho Rau Core Education. This change reflects our commitment to te reo Māori.

Ending streaming

We recently held a webinar on addressing bias and stereotyping in schools. Led by Dr Hana O’Regan and Professor Christine-Rubie Davies, you'll be inspired to shift your thinking and transform practice. Watch the recording and read Kōkirihia, the plan to remove streaming.

Together, we can turn the equity dial

We’re really happy to share with you He Tāpaetanga Pūrongo nā CORE, our first report back to the communities we serve. Shifting the equity dial for learners requires large numbers of people and organisations in Aotearoa working together to take action.

Click through the stories to see examples of where this is happening in communities across Aotearoa.
