Professional profile
Kayte Edwards is an experienced observer and assessor of teaching and learning programmes. She leads and facilitates in ECE services and Initial Teacher Education, and internal evaluations. She is passionate about the provision of high-quality education and supporting services to make a positive difference for children, parents and whānau/families.
Her philosophy is one of empowering others to do the great things they aspire to do. Kayte's journey in ECE has seen her work as a teacher, manager, senior teacher, lecturer and researcher. Over the past 35 years Kayte has continued to build on her knowledge in the field working with a wide range of services and people.

I believe life should be approached in a positive manner and endeavour to do so. This has led to travel throughout New Zealand and overseas, experiencing and learning from other people, cultures, and societies. I appreciate diverse perspectives and endeavour to be respectful of these. Being a bicultural New Zealander is something special to me and is an important influence in my lifelong learning journey.
