Giving back
Each year, staff dedicate a day to getting out into the community to lend a hand. CORE even designates one month as ‘Community month’, when our whānau are encouraged to take part in a range of activities around Aotearoa.
Past projects include:
- Cooking at Ronald McDonald House
- Gardening at Dogwatch and Willowbank
- Cleaning beaches and rivers across the country
- Gardening at WellFed, an Urban Community Farm in Cannons Creek
- Putting together Christmas food parcels for the City Mission
- Painting classrooms for Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery's temporary campus
- Gardening at Somerfield School’s Greenville project
- Working at EcoMatters in Auckland
- Planting at Hongoeka in Porirua
- Shifting classrooms at Tai Tapu School
- Supporting Red Cross in Auckland
- Developing a website for SmileDial
- Sorting clothes at Auckland City Mission
- Supporting Duffy Books at their HQ
- Developing resources for Wanganui Intermediate School.
