About the role

We have an opportunity for a highly organised Events Specialist, with a focus on managing events to the education sector, to join our Tiriti-honouring organisation. This is a 10-month fixed term position covering parental leave. 

You will have responsibility for a portfolio of events to manage and deliver, working alongside Product Managers and as part of the Marketing and Events team. This role is best suited to someone who can manage large scale, expo-style events, has experience in implementing health and safety plans and procedures, alongside best-practice events knowledge.

You will be a solutions-focused, detail-orientated, organised event professional, who is passionate about all aspects of event management, demonstrating both event project management and ability to execute the details.  

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Planning, managing and coordinating events for CORE Education

  • Executing exceptional end to end customer event experiences

  • Applying quality assurance and risk management processes

  • Applying health and safety procedures  

  • Providing regular reporting the performance of event registrations to stakeholders

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a similar events role

  • Experience with managing and delivering face-to-face and virtual events

  • Experience working with partners, sponsors and exhibitors in an events context 

  • Demonstrable technical skills across events platforms and tools 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural organisation

  • Ability to be an agile, proactive and creative team player
