Christine has a passion for innovative and authentic curriculum design. With a wealth of experience in education, Christine has also worked in the business sector, including interior and architectural team are our strongest asset. design and managing long term design projects.
She has explored new ways of leveraging technology to promote innovation in teaching. A key success of Christine’s career is the guiding of project-based learning and collaborative teaching in schools to ensure future focussed curriculum content.
Starting as a teacher of Design and Technology, Christine progressed to be Head of Department and Faculty Lead respectively. She has extensive knowledge of NCEA and is a technology subject matter expert for the writing of the new NCEA Literacy and Numeracy standards.
Christine worked extensively with Kāhui Ako to support strategic planning and implementation of projects for kura across the sectors of early childhood, primary and secondary. Christine has worked alongside Tumuaki and leaders with deep dive scoping projects and futures planning. The main focus of her mahi has been Digital Fluency and technology curriculum, realising strategies for effective target setting and cohesive delivery of content to multiple stakeholders.
Effective team building and developing capacity to share and celebrate expertise have been key components of her work. She has facilitated pedagogy to support hauora through NZIWR and cultural capability focus groups.
Christine is an innovative leader driven to deliver authentic bi-cultural learning. Motivated to maximise engagement with te reo Māori, develop understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and promote culturally responsive practices and pedagogy.
Christine is an inspiring innovative thinker who can deliver long term strategic project plans. She has an unwavering focus on forging great relationships with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
