Professional profile

Sean Bailey is a former tumuaki and now ICF accredited coach and leadership consultant. His involvement in education spans 25 years. Over this time, Sean has led two diverse schools in Aotearoa most recently as the Foundation Principal of Te Uru Tarata Lemonwood Grove, a new future focused school in Canterbury. While leading this kura, a number of educationists from across Aotearoa and overseas visited, to learn about how this school's innovative and responsive curriculum was preparing learners for the 21st century.

As a consultant, Sean has a passion for leadership development, especially continuing to inspire emergent leaders to be the best version of themselves. His facilitation is backed by not only his grounded experience as a school leader but also a deep understanding of what it takes to provide transformative, equitable outcomes for learning communities. Sean also works alongside school and ECE leaders to strengthen the culture within their organisations by getting clear around their purpose or WHY.
