Curriculum Support Resources

Te Kete Ipurangi (TKI) is the Ministry of Education’s online publication channel, consisting of over 70 websites and online communities in both English and Te Reo Māori. CORE’s team manages the TKI portal of sites, provides support for all content management groups, maintains standards, and promotes the channel to key groups of users.

New Zealand’s premier curriculum site – New Zealand Curriculum Online – is designed to support schools as they develop their school curricula. 

CORE provides content, site facilitation and professional community development services to manage Assessment Online for the Ministry of Education. 

This Ministry of Education community provides information and ideas to help Educational Leaders solve day-to-day problems and support their professional learning. 

These three Ministry of Education online communities strive for a common goal for New Zealand learners – they are communities “where every child is literate – a shared responsibility”.

The Virtual Learning Network (VLN) supports the concept of classrooms without walls, where students and educators have the flexibility to connect with their classes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

CORE has worked with the Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management (MCDEM) and the Earthquake Commission (EQC) to refresh the well loved What’s the Plan, Stan? print resource into a more user friendly website.

CORE has developed a set of interrelated teaching resources across the four learning areas of Science, Technology, Maths, and Social Studies.

In partnership with NZ Young Farmers, CORE have developed a set of resources for use with students across years 9 to 12.
