In light of recent events, we have decided to change this year’s NPDL Deep Learning Lab to be held as a virtual conference.
NPDL values quality learning design that has a focus on effective pedagogical practices in a digital world. Leveraging digital will help us to support building your deep learning capacity to deliver learning programmes that meet the needs of all learners.
Featuring a variety of presenters from Aotearoa and around the world, during this virtual conference participants will explore:
- What is deep learning?
- NPDL stories of impact
- Designing and measuring deep learning tasks
- Understanding the NPDL approach.
Whether you are an educator looking to improve your teaching practice or part of an established cluster or Kāhui Ako, the NZ Deep Learning Lab is an excellent opportunity to learn from and collaborate with global experts.
You will investigate and evaluate ways teaching practices and outcomes for learners can be improved.
The NZ Deep Learning Lab is open to both NPDL members and non-members.
Registrations opening soon
The 2020 NPDL NZ Deep Learning Lab will be taking place on 16-17 July 2020.

What is NPDL?
The New Pedagogies for Deep Learning (NPDL) project is a global programme of professional learning, run in collaboration with Michael Fullan and Associates. As a global network of schools working together, NPDL members collaborate and use an extensive range of tools and resources to support the building of knowledge and practices to develop deep learning and foster whole system change.
