Registration terms and conditions

Please read the terms and conditions on this page carefully, as each registration booking is subject to these terms and conditions and CORE Education’s standard terms and conditions for online services. Registering for this event is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions and to CORE’s standard terms and conditions for online services.


Payment and prices

Upon completion of the registration form, an invoice will be generated which must be paid in full by the 20th of the month following the invoice, or prior to the event date (if this is sooner).  Payment must be received prior to the event date. We reserve the right to refuse admission if payment has not been received.

Cancellation, postponement and substitution policy

If you cannot attend the event, you may substitute delegates without incurring additional fees at any time prior to the event by advising the administration team at eventadmin@core-ed.ac.nz

If a replacement isn't possible, cancellation in part or full of any registration must be submitted in writing to the administration team at eventadmin@core-ed.ac.nz

On cancellation, we will provide you with a refund (less a 10% administration fee), provided we receive at least 30 days written notice prior to the event. If less than 30 days written notice is given we will only be able to provide a 50% refund of your registration fee. No refunds are available within 14 days prior to the event or for un-notified non-attendance at the event.

The cancellation charge will be deducted from the delegate fee which will be refunded (if paid), or invoiced for immediate payment. No credits will be issued for cancellations.

In the event that CORE Education cancels an event for any reason not specified below, you will receive a refund of the registration fee only. Flights, accommodation, replacement staff and any other loss sustained will not be reimbursed by CORE Education.

In the event that CORE Education postpones an event for a reason, not specified in the following paragraph, and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend on the rescheduled date, the registration fee will be refunded. Flights, accommodation, replacement staff and any other loss sustained will not be reimbursed by CORE Education.

CORE Education is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event. CORE Education shall assume no liability whatsoever if this event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this organised event impracticable, illegal or impossible, in the sole opinion of CORE. For the purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, earthquake, labour strike, extreme weather, pandemic or other emergency.

Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics and the programme and format of the event may be changed accordingly. As such, CORE Education reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers, topics, formats or programme as deemed necessary without any liability to delegates whatsoever. Any/all substitutions, alterations or amendments will be notified via updates on our web page as soon as is practicable.

Special requirements

Every effort will be made to ensure that delegates with special needs are provided for. Should you require any specific assistance, or catering provision, please include the relevant details on your registration form.

Photography/video

Please be aware that event staff and/or attending media representatives may take photographs and record audio and video footage of the proceedings, including audience response and profile. Materials produced may be displayed online or in other ways, eg, television or print or used by CORE Education for educational or marketing purposes. All attendees understand and agree to being involved in this.

Delegates not wishing to have their image taken or voice recorded should also attempt to remove themselves from photographic, video, or audio recording situations wherever possible. Whilst best endeavours will be made not to include delegates who do not wish to be, CORE can take no responsibility should their image or voice be recorded or used.

Other delegates may take and distribute images or recordings via social networking sites or independent websites or reports. CORE Education can take no responsibility for material or images used in this way.

Copyright

CORE Education retains the copyright to all CORE events, seminar presentations, workshops and online programmes. The recording or transmitting of any content which includes audio, video, and photographs by a member of the audience is not permitted. In the event of a member of the audience wishing to use any content, permission must first be gained from eventadmin@core-ed.ac.nz

Accuracy of supplied data

When registering for a CORE event, you must ensure that all information you provide is correct and up-to-date. If you change your details, you agree to ensure your details are updated.

Data we hold about you

You directly provide CORE with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • register online or place an order for any of our products or services
  • voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback via email or event application
  • use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

CORE collects the following data:

  • personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.) suitable for the purposes of a purchase or registration
  • your IP address via Cookies
  • photos (if supplied).

CORE collects your data so that we can:

  • process your order and manage your account
  • email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like
  • improve our performance.

If you agree, CORE will share your data with our partner companies so that they may offer you their products and services.

When CORE processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

CORE securely stores your data in our Event Management, Online Store, Learning Management, Survey, Micro Credentials, Email systems and in Files stored securely in our File Storage System.

CORE will keep your data for an appropriate period based on the reason for which it has been collected. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data or anonymize it depending on the record type (Financial records are not able to be deleted for 7 years).

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you and also request to have any data deleted and/or made anonymize if you so wish (financial records are not able to be deleted for 7 years).

General

All advice, decisions, opinions, recommendations, proposals, presentations, seminars and reports, whether written or oral, are made in good faith by CORE Education Ltd on the basis of value judgments influenced by current commercial and organisational conditions. These may be affected by unforeseen events and factors outside CORE’s control and, as such, we reserve the right to amend or cancel planned or previously agreed arrangements. CORE takes no responsibility for the opinions, statements or advice given by presenters, sponsors or exhibitors associated with the event. CORE shall not be liable in any event to delegates, exhibitors, or any other person or third party for any direct or consequential loss or damage sustained arising out of or in connection with this event.
