In this podcast Angela Vermeulen is joined by Tumu Whakarae | Chief Executive Officer of Tātai Aho Rau Dr Hana O’Regan, ONZM, and Chief Executive Officer of Rātā Foundation Leighton Evans to kōrero about the expansive topic of equity.

Drawing from their own experiences, Hana and Leighton talk about times they have encountered racism, sexism, and dive into other general inequities they experienced growing up from their unique perspectives. They then explore what they see as a socially just and equitable world looks like, and speak on what positive changes we could make today to ensure an equitable world for future generations.

Hana and Leighton also discuss the common confusion of equity vs equality, and speak about some of the mahi and initiatives that their respective organisations do to action equity, before finally sharing a defining moment in their equity journeys so far.
